How to inexpensively add gold to your decor

Updated Monday, April 23, 2018  ::  Views (441)

Right now gold tones are everywhere in home decor. You may think adding some of these accents to your home will break the bank, but it doesn’t have to! There are inexpensive ways to incorporate this trend in your decorating, giving it a high end, glamorous and classy look.

Starting with subtle ways - perhaps you just want to add a few touches of gold to go with your decor. Even small accents of this rich tone can leave a big impact. Accessories are a great way to tie it in. Add gold throw pillows, lamps, candles and candle holders, picture frames, mirrors, trays, chandeliers and light fixtures, area rugs, curtains or curtain rods, and artwork, to name a few. Gold touches can go in any room of your house.

If you desire adding gold in a bigger and bolder way, gold furniture is a great addition to your decor right now. Coffee tables, end tables, bookcases, bar carts and barstools are all easily available to purchase right now and look fantastic in the home. You can even go for gold paint! Choose an accent wall to paint to add elegance in your home.

Another affordable way is to start some DIY gold projects. Purchase gold spray paint and turn your favourite objects into a new gold masterpiece! Old bookends, frames, vases, lampshades to name a few ideas. Or decorate a wall in gold polkadots, which you can buy pre-cut online or make yourself with shiny gold contact paper or paint with a stencil.

Have some fun with this hot trend! Adding some glitz to your home doesn’t have to cost a fortune and will certainly glamourize your interior.
